1. Please tell us about your latest book.
David Massie and the Quantum Flux is a reality changing sci-fi adventure. The book is centered around David Massie, a middle schooler, who after the mysterious disappearance of his genius brother Morgan five years ago is left distraught and finds solace in Morgan’s old lab. But on one particularly rainy-day David has an encounter with a mysterious Dark Armored Figure, that thrusts him into reality changing chaos. Each day, everything about David’s world changes, but right when all hope seems lost for David until he runs into a time cop named CP, who takes it upon himself to help David through this situation. The duo go on an adventure to strange out of this world places like the center of the earth and the dark side of the moon, all the while unknown to David and CP, they are pursued by the Dark Armored Figure lurking in the shadows.
2. What inspires you to write?
The inspiration to write for me, comes from things I love and my life. For David Massie it pulls on my childhood love of sci-fi, like Star Wars and star trek. I was always a giant Star Wars nerd and as a kid I always put myself in that universe, but as an adult I eventually felt the overwhelming need to make my own Sci-Fi universe with its own awesome characters!
3. What advice do you have for young writers who are in middle school?
My advice to young writers would be never give up and always believe in yourself because through perseverance you will find success. Every day is a new chance to think of great ideas, improve your story or think of new ideas and stories. Following your dreams is in no way easy, for me I was laughed at by my peers, told I could not make a book because of my dyslexia, or whatever reason they gave. Now I have two series and am looking to make a third. Nothing can stop you!
4. What is next for you?
I am currently in the process of creating the third installment to my first series I wrote in college, Corrupted Light Chronicles. I am also working on David Massie 2 and looking into creating an entirely new fantasy series, in graphic novel form.
