What initially drew you to comics?
I have been drawn since my childhood, by my toys and by my favourite cartoon characters. I guess comic art was the most art I saw and remember. I saw the comic books in the press kiosk on the way to my school every day.
Please tell us about Le Fay and any other work you'd like to share about.
Le Fay really was a great opportunity for me, a book where I could participate directly in the character's creation, and I really love the way Joshua (the writer) writes. He let me add some ideas and extra pages where I felt the book needed it.
Now, I’m finishing some issues of a series of James Cameron’s Avatar with Dark Horse, and I have enjoyed this work so much. It's been a great experience in my career, and I'm a great fan of the movie, so it's nice for me and has been very important work for me.
What do comics allow you to do in creating/storytelling?
I think of comic art as something bigger than art. It's a language, and has great social and evolving importance where you can tell anything to everyone. It's a universal language.
In my particular case, I feel as if I'm a director of a movie where I can tell readers everything in my own way.
