1. What inspires your authorship?
I’m inspired by reading the work of other authors. Whether it’s poetry, memoir, realistic fiction, non-fiction or the back of a cereal box, the way other authors string words together to create rich worlds, believable characters and then evoke emotion from readers always inspires me to want to create my own worlds, characters and emotions with my writing.
2. What advice do you have for young writers/creators?
Writing is a great way to figure out who you are and how you fit into the world. It’s also a wonderful way to make sense of your feelings and experiences. I hope young writers create with passion and joy, writing about what matters most to them. Like anything else, your writing style will develop with practice. Have fun!
3. What is the message you hope rings out to the world from your work?
That you are not alone. My books are a means of connection from heart to heart.
